1. Overview

Worldwide Classifieds Inc. (“Worldwide Classifieds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all users who access or utilize the Services on our platform, including auctions, member shops, classified ads (including adult categories), public notices, reverse auctions, forum communications, and all related features, whether accessed from within or outside the United States.

This Privacy Policy forms part of the Worldwide Classifieds Master Policy Agreement. It should be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions, Content Moderation Policy, Seller Code of Conduct, Adult Content Compliance Policy, Firearm Buyer Agreement, Cannabis Sale Disclosure, Community Forum Rules, and any other incorporated policies.

Worldwide Classifieds operates on an international level. Buyers, sellers, and other users may be located in different countries. Your information may therefore be collected, used, stored, and transferred across national borders as described in this Policy and as permitted by applicable law.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to operate a secure, global marketplace, provide services, prevent abuse, and maintain compliance with applicable laws in the jurisdictions where we operate or have users.

2.1 User-Provided Information

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

Account registration details (such as name, username, email address, password, and contact details).
Listings, ads, shop content, auction entries, public notices, and related media you upload.
Messages and communications are exchanged through the platform (including between buyers, sellers, and support).
Verification and compliance data where required (for example, identity checks, age/age-of-majority confirmation, firearms-related verifications, cannabis-related verifications, or other regulated categories).
Payment-related details you provide to our payment partners (processed primarily by third-party payment processors on our behalf).
Information you provide when contacting support, reporting a problem, or participating in surveys, promotions, or dispute resolution.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:

IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, language, and general location (such as country or region).
Access timestamps, page views, clickstream data, and usage logs.
Security and activity logs are used for fraud prevention, abuse detection, and enforcement.

We use information for the internal operation of Worldwide Classifieds, including to:

Operate listings, auctions, shops, public notices, reverse auctions, and messaging features.
Enable international transactions and cross-border interactions between buyers and sellers.
Provide customer support, handle inquiries, and resolve disputes.
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, prohibited items, and restricted behavior.
Protect the platform's security and integrity, including monitoring and enforcing Master Policies.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to firearms, adult content, cannabis, financial transactions, sanctions/embargoes, and consumer protection.
Improve and develop the Services, including analytics, performance measurement, and feature optimization.

We may aggregate or de-identify information for statistical, security, or analytical purposes. Aggregated or de-identified data does not identify individuals and may be used for internal business purposes.

4. No Sale or Trading of Personal Data

Worldwide Classifieds does not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise disclose any personal information to any third party for their own marketing, advertising, or independent commercial distribution.

Information is only shared as reasonably necessary to:

Operate and secure the platform,
Provide Services (for example, with payment processors, hosting providers, or security vendors), and
Satisfy legal and compliance obligations as described in this Policy.

We require service providers who process personal data on our behalf to use it only for our documented purposes and to protect it appropriately.

5. Cooperation With Law Enforcement and Regulatory Authorities

As stated throughout the Master Policy (including the Firearm Seller Addendum, Adult Content Compliance Policy, Cannabis Sale Disclosure, and Community Forum Rules), users must be aware that:

Worldwide Classifieds will cooperate with local, state, federal, tribal, and international law enforcement and regulatory authorities when legally required or permitted.
Cooperation may include providing account details, listing history, access logs, IP addresses, payment-related metadata, communications, or other relevant data.
Cooperation occurs when we receive a valid legal process (such as subpoenas, warrants, court orders, mutual legal assistance requests, or applicable statutory obligations) or when disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law to protect rights, property, or safety.

Attempts to use the site for criminal or unlawful purposes may result in disclosure to appropriate authorities and immediate account or content action as defined in the Content Moderation Policy and related Master Policies.

6. Monitoring and Security

Worldwide Classifieds actively monitors the platform using automated systems, manual review, and third-party security tools. This monitoring may be conducted from or across multiple countries.

Monitoring covers, among other things:

Fraud prevention, chargeback risk, and identity abuse.
Detection of illegal or restricted content, including firearms, adult content, narcotics, counterfeit items, and other prohibited goods or services.
Safety and integrity of auctions, shops, reverse auctions, and general marketplace activity.
Compliance checks for restricted products and services (such as firearms, adult content, cannabis, and other regulated offerings).
Forum and direct-message moderation per the Community Forum Rules and Master Policies.

By using the platform, users consent to such monitoring and acknowledge that monitoring may involve cross-border processing of data, subject to applicable laws.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Worldwide Classifieds uses cookies and similar technologies to support a secure, international marketplace, including for:

Account sessions and authentication.
Storing site preferences (such as language or region settings).
Improving website performance and usability.
Analytics and usage optimization across different markets.
Fraud detection, security integrity, and abuse prevention.

Depending on your location, you may see additional cookie banners or consent tools that explain the types of cookies used and provide options to manage your preferences in line with local law (for example, in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom).

You may disable cookies in your browser settings. However, doing so may limit your ability to access certain features or remain logged in.

8. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or destruction.

These safeguards apply to all areas of the platform, including regulated categories (such as firearms, adult content, and cannabis listings) and any areas requiring age or identity verification.

No system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. However, we continuously work to improve our security practices to protect the integrity of the Services and user data.

9. International Data Transfers

Worldwide Classifieds is operated from the United States, but users and service providers may be located worldwide. As a result, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than those in your country of residence.

When we transfer personal data internationally, we do so:

As necessary to perform a contract with you (for example, to facilitate international marketplace transactions);
In accordance with your consent, where required, and/or
Using appropriate safeguards recognized under applicable law (for example, contractual protections with service providers and partners).

By using the Services, you understand that your information may be processed in countries outside your own, subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:

Maintain and operate your account and the Services.
Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting obligations under the laws of various jurisdictions.
Resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our rights or those of others.
Meet record-keeping requirements for regulated categories (for example, certain firearms-related or financial transaction records).

Where legally permissible, and subject to any retention obligations, we will delete or anonymize personal data upon your request (see Section 11) or when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.

11. Your Rights

Request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and, if applicable, “share” as defined by law.
Request deletion of certain personal information.

Worldwide Classifieds does not sell personal information for monetary consideration and does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We use personal information as described in this Policy to operate, secure, and maintain the Services.

You will not be discriminated against for exercising any rights available to you under applicable law.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for use by adults. Certain parts of the platform, including adult categories and other regulated sections, are designed only for users who are at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16 (or a higher age where required by local law). If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information and may deactivate the related account.

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in laws, regulations, our Services, or our data practices. Updates will be posted in the Legal Center and/or on this page with an updated “effective date” or version indicator.

Continued use of the platform after an updated Privacy Policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
